Desktop Box vs Rackmount Deployment
Desktop chassis (20-node motherboard box, 32PCS box, 12PCS array) suit most labs up to ~100 nodes. Rackmount or custom floor cabinets make sense when you need centralized PDU, HVAC alignment, sliding trays and clean cable routing for 50–500+ nodes in one room.
What We Build as OEM
Custom cabinet scope (quote-based) includes:
- Node capacity and tray layout per your board or phone model
- Cooling airflow path and fan redundancy
- Power bus and fused distribution (220V standard; discuss 110V in RFQ)
- Mixed Android / iPhone slot modules when required
- Export crate and commercial invoice for international freight
- Typical lead time: 15–30 days after drawing approval
2U and Partial-Rack Options
Full 42U racks are not always required. Many buyers start with partial rack stacks or bench cabinets that hold multiple motherboard boxes with shared network uplinks. Share floor plan, power capacity and target node count in RFQ — we return a BOM and airflow note.
Network and Control PC Placement
Rackmount farms usually run OTG/LAN with enterprise routers (IK-MSG series, 300–10,000 device tiers). Control PCs sit on a separate shelf with UPS. One PC still typically manages 3–5 desktop-style boxes; larger racks may use multiple control hosts segmented by VLAN.
